Privacy

• About you: your goal and weight, plus height, age, sex and activity level if you add them, to estimate your calories and protein.
• About your family: each kid's first name or nickname, age, allergies, foods they like or skip, and how picky they are. A nickname works fine.
• Your kitchen: the dinners we plan for you, anything you tell us you have at home, and which dinners you cooked.
• When you save your family: your email address. If you choose Continue with Google, Google shares your name and email with us and nothing else from your Google account.

• A cookie that keeps you signed in, or remembers you as a guest before you save your family.
• Usage events, like screens viewed and buttons tapped, so we can see what works.
• When you start as a guest, a one-way scrambled version (hash) of your IP address, only to stop abuse. We never store the address itself.

To plan dinners, size plates, check allergies, build grocery lists, keep your family saved, send your sign-in codes, keep 1ladle safe, and make it better. That's it.

• Cloudflare hosts the app and stores your data.
• WorkOS handles sign-in and sends the emails with your sign-in code.
• Anthropic's Claude plans each dinner. It gets only what the plan needs: goals and calorie targets, and each kid's first name, age, allergies and food preferences. It never gets your email. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, this data isn't used to train their models.
• Google provides the optional Continue with Google sign-in, and YouTube search, where we send only the name of the dish to find a cooking video.
• Amplitude gives us product analytics.

Each of them handles data only to provide their service to us.

1ladle is for parents and caregivers. Kids don't use it or have accounts. We ask about a kid's age, allergies and tastes only so their plate fits them.

We keep your family and dinners while you use 1ladle. To delete everything, email hello@1ladle.app from the address you signed in with, and we'll delete your account and data within 30 days. You can also ask us what we hold about you.

If this page changes, we'll update the date at the top. Big changes, we'll tell you in the app.
